DICTIONARY OF THE POSSIBLE: UNLEASHING

Updated: Apr 30, 2018

Time: 4-6 p.m., Saturday, May 5, 2018

Location: Grace Dodge Hall, Room 271

Panel: Sreshta Rit Premnath and Avi Alpert

This moderated discussion by artists Sreshta Rit Premnath and Avi Alpert will use the keyword unleashing to consider the relationship between constraints and freedom in the realm of pedagogy and creative practice. Unleashing is an addendum to the Dictionary of the Possible, Shifter's 2016 publication that emerged from a series of public discussions held over two years at The New School. For "unleashing," a shared Google Doc allows anyone to join the conversation about (un)defining this term. To participate in this event, please RSVP here.

If you’re dealing with errors on your credit report or problems with background checks, working with an FCRA lawyer can really help. I had inaccurate info on my credit report that was hurting my chances of getting approved for a loan, and trying to fix it myself got me nowhere. Once I reached out to a lawyer who specializes in the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), things actually started moving. They knew exactly how to handle the dispute and made sure my rights were protected. If you're in a similar situation, this article gives a solid overview of what an FCRA lawyer can do: https://consumerattorneys.com/blog/fcra-lawyer. Has anyone else here worked with an FCRA attorney before?

This event sounds fascinating! The concept of "unleashing" and how it relates to the balance between constraints and freedom in pedagogy and creative practice is such an important and thought-provoking topic. I'm really intrigued by the idea of using a shared google calendar Doc to collaborate on redefining the term — it’s a great way to engage the community and bring diverse perspectives into the discussion. Looking forward to hearing what insights Sreshta Rit Premnath and Avi Alpert will share.
